The origin of this museum can be traced back to 1836, when the structure of the museum was constructed. It takes you back to the past. The museum has different pieces of art, documents and furniture showing what life was like for the Ursulines in the 17th century.

Nearby there is a chapel which was built in 1902. The Ursuline Chapel is located next door. Marie de"Incarnation was the founder of the Ursuline Monastery. It is the oldest learning center in North America.

You can get the museum staff to give you a peek at the vault downstairs, where the Marquis de Montcalm was buried until 2001.
The Ursulines began in the 1500's in Italy, spread to France, and blossomed in the New World on this very spot. The artifacts, religious documents, and artwork attract international religious scholars throughout the year.

This charming museum chronicles the arrival and work of the Ursuline nuns in Quebec. The museum houses an impressive selection of religious art, including embroideries and sculpture.

Admission: CAD4 Adults; CAD3.50 Seniors; CAD2.50 Students with ID; CAD7 Families.
