The Quebec Winter Carnival

The Quebec Winter Carnival is considered to be the largest winter carnival in the whole world.  It is an annual event that lasts for 17 days, beginning either on the last Friday of January or the first Friday of February.  Its main feature is the building of the ice palace, which is supposed to house the Bonhomme Carnaval for the duration of the carnival.

The Quebec National Holiday

The Quebec National Holiday, more popularly known as the Saint Jean Baptiste Day, is a day of celebration held in Quebec City every June 23 and 24 to honor the feast day of Saint John the Baptist, who is one of the patron saints of Quebec.  The Saint Jean Baptiste Day is a day of fireworks, free concerts and other festivities.
