Ginko is a Japanese name which is derived from Ginkgo tree. Seen as a symbol of longevity, strength and health, the Gingko tree was often planted around shrines in Japan.

Ginko Japanese Restaurant opened in April 1984. Ginko Toronto is located in the Double Tree International Plaza Hotel on Dixon Road. uests are served authentic Japanese cuisine prepared by traditional Japanese cooking techniques. Owner, Shigeo Kimura personally purchases the fresh produce and fish on a daily basis and oversees all menu items.

It features six distinct dining areas. The first floor holds the Dining Room, Sake Wine Bar and Sushi Bar. The second floor holds the Party Room, Teppan Yaki Tables and Tatammi Room.

Dining Room features a regular menu, which includes dishes from both the kitchen and Sushi Bar. Sake Wine Bar provides a selection of sake and wine, in addition to other alcoholic beverages and also an appetizer menu.

Hours: Tue- Fri 11:30am- 2:30pm, 5:30pm- 10pm; Sat- Sun 5:30pm- 10pm.
