Place Laurier opened on November 11, 1961 by M. Amédé Jr. Demers, François Nolin and Paul Racine. With its 50 stores, including Pascal, Le Syndicat, Kresge, Towers and Dominion, it was the first covered centre in Quebec. It is located in Ste. Foy (Québec region) near the bridges on Laurier Boulevard and at 5 kms (3 miles) from the Château Frontenac. There are 350 stores and over 5,200 parking spaces of which 3,600 are covered. Mr. Pierre Léveillé, General Manager of Place Laurier, recently presented the new customer service called "LE SERVICE", a unique and innovative realization of the largest shopping centre in eastern Québec and the second in Canada.

Customers could express their needs and expectations in writing and deposit them in "suggestions boxes" installed in different areas of the shopping centre. The shopping center is the result of an interaction between Place Laurier and its customers. The goal is to make shopping easier for its clientele by offering a diversity of personalized services.
