Musee du Fort

The museum is dedicated to renowned warriors of the past. Through light and sound programs it depicts age old history. In a historic building facing the Chateau Frontenac, on Place d'Armes, the museum is a remarkable mine of information.

See and hear the battle of the Plains of Abraham which changed the history of a continent. Witness the Revolutionary army, under Richard Montgomery and Benedict Arnold; attack Quebec during a snow storm on December 31, 1775!

Their trained guides interact with the group before and after the presentation of the show and are available to provide further information.

The Musee du Fort also features two permanent exhibitions “The Destiny of new France” and “Once upon a diorama” which enhance the visit and complete the information presented in the show. Books are also available in English and French for those who want to know in detail about the plays.
